Title: NeoGeo stick to PC
Post by: cisco17 on October 16, 2003, 11:20:08 PM
Hello! I want to know how can I connect the great Neo Geo Stick to a PC, as I know it's a easy joystick to adapt, but I haven't seen any diagram over the net.

Thanks!

You could use a cheap usb controller and do this. (http://www.gamesx.com/stickadapt/) I'm sure there's a direct pad pro way of doing it also, but I don't know where any directions are. Also I'm pretty sure you can hook a Neo Geo stick up to the gameport with a little rewiring. Check these two pages for pinouts of Neo Geo (http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/neocont.htm) and PC gameport (http://stason.org/TULARC/pc/pc_pinout.html). This one describes how to hook generic switches (basically what a neo geo controller is) up to the PC gameport (http://www.ctips.com/game.html).

If you do hook it up to the gameport, please post the results. I'd like to know how it turns out.

Also I forgot to mention that if the gameport is used, then drivers probably aren't needed. I checked it out and you can add the device manually in Win98.
