Title: Lik-Sang selling loose GP32 LCDs
Post by: Blaine on January 12, 2006, 10:44:36 AM
http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=...oducts_id=5352& (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=126&products_id=5352&)

Does anyone have pinouts, specs or anything on the GP32's LCD screen?

While you can sometimes find cheaper lcds for projects (hipscreen pads [whatever they're called], used gamecube screens, etc) I'm always curious when I run into a screen what it's potential is.

The rule is: All LCD screens are unusable for anything without significant effort expended in creating an interface and controller and convertor.

The exption is: a miniscule percentage will not require this work.

It looks a bit like the GP32's screen is just a screen with no controller. If that's the case, you have to build an LCD controller for the screen. If the GP32's screen has a controller, you have to work out how to talk to that controller.
