Title: First gen gameboy advance with backlit screen completed?
Post by: phreak97 on January 04, 2013, 01:28:06 PM
I stumbled across this on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nintendo-Game-Boy-Advance-Fuchsia-Handheld-System-Bright-screen-GBL-1-New-game-/121046510496?pt=AU_Consoles&hash=item1c2eef2ba0&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_922 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nintendo-Game-Boy-Advance-Fuchsia-Handheld-System-Bright-screen-GBL-1-New-game-/121046510496?pt=AU_Consoles&hash=item1c2eef2ba0&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_922)
The description seems to have been translated from another language, so googling for the project hasnt gotten many results.
I'd love to know what actually went into this system.

What exactly are you asking?  GBA frontlight kits were very common when the system was released.  The one I remember being first and popular was the 'Afterburner' kit.

Look at the photos, thats not a frontlight, its a different lcd. Maybe an ags-101?

I don't see anything that indicates a new LCD, what do you see that I don't?

the superiority of the image, google afterburner gba images.

I did some more research and theres this thread on gbatemp which talks about it. it's a conversion cable that allows the ags-101 screen to be used on an original gba.
