Title: Help me pick a VGA Box
Post by: atom on March 16, 2006, 08:01:29 AM
I've never bought one before because I've always preferred playing my consoles on my TV. Here in Pitt I don't have a TV and because I don't want to hog my roommates TV with my XBOX I am looking to get a vga box. The one that I am looking at getting is this one right here:
http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=...oducts_id=3166& (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=222&products_id=3166&)

I go to compare, and it looks pretty good even stacked up against the other ones. There's only that one thing, the comparison page says it only outputs interlaced video. I personally, think that the idea of interlaced vga is stupid. However the product page says
QuoteMotion-adaptive interfiled de-interlacing
So wouldn't that mean its putting out progressive? I figure one of you video output guru's could help clear this up a little bit for me.

Looks like it costs more and does less, I don't want something that is only for xbox. I need something that has a reusable trait.
