Can you mod a cart to bypass the lockout code??

Some Megadrive games has a lockout code built into them, is to possible to by pass this lockout code by modding the PCB of the cart at all???

You cannot mod the cart, unless you reprogram the chip.  You have to modify the system.

Even if you could, why would you? You would then need to mod every import cart you own. Do the system, then everything will just work.
