Hi Guys !

Today I made a massive discovery which could help us install up to now uninstallable games without 2HDBOOT. There is a program called ADDDRV.X which allows us to load config.sys drivers after the system has fully booted which would otherwise be impossible. I updated the Wiki with Example #4 and made a proof of concept.

This discovery is dedicated to Caius ! I guess the HDD image v3 is once again delayed because of this discovery ;)

Many thanks for your dedication, Eidis!
I',m very curious to try your new HD installing method, we really know a thing or two.

P.S.
Yes, I think it's right to delay the release of V3 image  and try  all the  "until now not-installable" games with your new method .

While making HDD image V3, I studied and perfected 2HDSIM method which was discovered by Caius. It is very effective but more difficult to use than others.

Check out the Wiki article with Example #5 here:

Thank you Caius for the inspiration ! V3 is just around the corner and features many awesome games. ;)

Thanks to you, Eidis. You are the mind of this forum, I'm only a poor labourer... ;)
You said you have perfectioned my last installing method, could you tell me something more and make some examples (using combination of  lines from config.sys and autoexec.bat files as you said in the WiKi)?

P.S.
Regarding your instaling method using ADDDRV, is this utility useful only with drivers with  .X extension or with .SYS , too?

 Hi Caius !

The V3 is finally out and we did it as a team ;)

I updated the Wiki article upon your request. Check out Chapter 3 ;)

You can pretty much use the information in Chapter 3 for 2HDSIM installed games and instead of launching autoexec.bat from the mounted image you can write your own chain of commands.

Hope this helps.

 Hi Guys !

Just wanted to make contributing games a lot more easier for you so I made a 10MB SASI HDD template which boots into LHES and is compatible with game manufacturer provided installation scripts.  Please use this template to submit your HDD installed games.

Here is a bug report for HDD image V3. Strangely Daimakaimura runs fine on XM6 but not on the real thing. However, there is a solution. Download Daimakaimura (1994)(Capcom)(Disk 1 of 2)(System)[a2].zip and extract DM.X, type5.x and type5.dat to V3 Daimakaimura directory. Then edit !Start.bat so that the first line is type5.x
