Hi everyone,
I would like to change 2 resistors on a 20F PSU :
R8 and R10, l@@k picutres :)
Does anyone has the value ? the complete resistor chart or service manual please ?
thanks a lot
I have the same problem with on of my towns PSU and I'm working on a list base off my system, the picture above and another one I found on another site. I'm somewhat sure that r10 is right but r11 is really hard to read on my PSU.
R3 = 120 kohms
R4 = 22 kohms
R5 = 47 kohms
R6 = 5.6 ohms
R7 = 560 ohms
R8 = 3.3 kohms
R9 = 10 ohms
R10 = 560 ohms (Green,Blue,Brown?)
R11 = 10 kohms (Brown,black,orange?)
R12 = 160 ohms
R13 = 1 kohm
R14 = 47 kohms
R16 = 22 kohms
hi twoquickcapri
yes i confirm :
R10 = 560 ohms
R11 = 10 kohms
FM TOWNS 20F just repaired !
how did you figure the resistors went bad? just multimeter testing?
first visually looking bad, see photos
and after yes multimeter
I am just about ready to start troubleshooting one of these dead PSUs. Does anyone have the pinout of the 44-pin connector?
Should the PSU provide any power when plugged in? Or does it provide a +5VDC standby for a soft switch? Just curious what I should be expecting.
Thanks!
Also, can anyone please confirm if R99 is 10k ohms? I could barely read it, looks like: brown-black-orange-silver.
CONFIRMED, R99 is 10k.
also, here is a cap list for this PSU -- I just re-capped 2 of these (and replaced burned out resistors):
C75 22uF 25v
C84 1uF 50v
C70 22uF 25v
C74 22uF 25v
C52 560uF 25v
C57 2200uF 10v
C58 820uF 10v
C54 220uF 25v
C55 220uF 25v
C60 220uF 50v
C12 47uF 50v
C6 560uF 180v
