This is for a recently ended Yahoo auction. I've mirrored it because it's rather unique. Spriggan is a long-running series from Naxat, and later Compile. The history is torturous, and (
correct me if I'm wrong) includes the Soldier series (Super Star Soldier, Final Soldier, Soldier Blade) and the Spriggan series (Spriggan, Spriggan Mk 2), all for PC Engine, as well as Spriggan Powered for the Super Famicom, and the amazing Aleste (MUSHA) series for MSX and MegaDrive/MegaCD, and Super Aleste for Super Famicom.
The game below, Spriggan Powerd, seems to be an unreleased arcade prototype. The manufacturer on the PCB is Kid, a Japanese company known for their risque girl-sims more than anything else. The final price on this PCB was a hundred and twenty one thousand Yen, just shy of $1100 by
today's exchange. That puts this game firmly in the highest bracket for PCB pricing.
