Hi, I was wondering if anyone could explain this a little clearer.

Yes.  If you have an aversion to soldering, you should probably stop right now (no offense).

No.  That is a SPDT (single pole double throw) switch.  You need a DPDT switch.

Well I have never soldered before in my life  :( , but you have to start somewhere.

Absolutely.  Time to get your hands dirty.  :)

I would say that you might practice a bit by soldering to a "dead" circuit board first, though.  You don't want to go ruining your Saturn by messing up on the very first soldered connection you ever try to make, right?
