Hello. After visited from time to time your website. I decided to join you because I have a trouble with a floppy drive.

Evidently I know it's perhaps some capacitors are out, or the reader head need to be cleaned or even grease the reader head motor. However, I don't want to go to a wrong way and I search a sure answer.

More details :
- Model is a X68000 EXPERT-HD.
- When I insert a floppy disk I heard a grinding noise even when there's no loading from this floppy drive.
- When Geograph Seal load from this floppy drive, computer display "Error Media" (In others games, computer display a Japanse message, except the word CRC).

Personally, I think solution is to replace capacitors, however, I would like your opinion.

Thanks in advance.

Replace the caps. It might not help, but it must be done. Also regrease the rails, etc.
