Arcade Works, makers of the awesome Omega consolized Neo-Geo MVS, are currently running a kickstarter for a new type of connector for the ol' toaster NES which I thought many of you may be interested in.  Instead of having to push the cartridge down after inserting it, you just slide it in (heh heh heh) and it's in contact.  The kickstarte page is here:

I've personally seen the prototype and it works great.  I'm sure many of you have replaced the pins in toasters before.  This is a superior option because once you install this the pins will never bend again.  The mod is just as simple as replacing pins the old fashioned way, and it's specifically designed to be easily installed by the layman.  Do this and kill the lockout chip and you'll be good to go.  Indefinitely.

The BLW also doesn't have the "death grips" some of you have probably experienced when you install replacement pins (you know, where you have to pull with pliers to get the darn cart out), which is another major advantage.

Check out the kickstarter page to see it in action. A "how to install" video is coming soon.

Hope this is of interest to some of you!
