NES Controller Schematic
« on: May 09, 2009, 10:29:13 pm »
If someone can help me, I need the schematic for the nes controller. I've read the article on this page http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/nessnes.htm but there is the schematic for the snes controller.
On the bottom of the page it's said for the nes schematic ignore the cic 2 but I have some problems:

1. I reedit the schematic from that page (remove the cic 2);
The result is on the buttom of this page http://nfggames.com/forum2/index.php?topic=3659.0.;
2. I've opened an nes controller and I've saw only 2 resistors and my reedited schematic have 8 resistors.

Is that the correct schematic for the nes controller? If not can someone reedit the schematic from this page http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/nessnes.htm to be only with the nes cic and send me the schematic?

Thanks!

The Y button on the SNES controller is the A button on the NES controller. The link below is the very first item in a Google search for 'NES and 4021' and describes quite clearly how the one-chip design works. It's even got an abstract encoder schematic.
