NFG's Controller Site
« on: August 08, 2008, 09:38:44 pm »
I've started a new website, devoted to controller reviews, theory and discussions.

NFGcontrols.com

Please check it out if you're a fan of controllers like I am.  =D

Just a thought, woudl it be worth the while to move future or perhaps all controller discussion over there? That is discussion from this page.

You're certainly welcome to sign up and discuss the place there, but I'm not going to try and force users from this forum to go there.  There won't be a hundred-percent crossover of the audiences, I don't think...

Coming soon: a 'what the hell?' explanation thread.  =D

I signed up but never received a confirmation email.

Lawrence, are you sure the new user registering system is working?
If you can mod it... I'll find a way to screw it up!

Dunno what was up...  There were no problems, but I fixed 'em!

I picked up a nice controller from Cash Converters for $5, a 6-button Mega Drive controller with rapid fire and slow functions. If I can remember how to come up with a decent piece of prose, I'll put it in the reviews section.

I'm working on the new site, nearly finished the N64 review and history, lots of pics...  Took a stack of pics tonight, thought I might show a few here, a bit of a sneak peak...

If you've been following the site you may have noticed I've finally done something with the main page.  I've also added a Controller News section.

It's updated live from the forum, which has been torn down in the last week or so.  It's instead been shoved into one of my other forums, so if you register for that you get the awesome benefit of the rest of NFGworld.  =)

Also, I've put up a review of the ALPS Interactive PS1 pad, which is a bit of a looker.

And yes, Duo_R, there's a place for user reviews.  =)

I've posted up some new stuff:

Nintendo N64 3D-stick Mechanism (notched arcs!)
Sega Saturn 3D-stick Mechanism (magnets!)

And something I've been working on for a while, a 3D controller history.

Also N64 pad review, and
Capcom Fighting Pad Soldier review.
