Gamecube component cable to vga cable mod question

Hi all,

I've been thinking of hooking up my gamecube to vga instead of sticking with my rca composite video.

i've managed get myself one of those gamecube component cables.

My question is does the "flipper" chip output sync on green once i've modified it to output rgb instead of component? I have a sync on green monitor and thought this mod would be simpler if it did output sync on green.

You will have to hook up the H+V Sync, as SoG is not available.
