Nintendo 64
« on: April 26, 2006, 11:31:33 am »
I spent the better part of this afternoon addressing my Nintendo 64 RGB problem, as you may recall I had sync issues with the Nintendo 64 and my Commodore 1084.

As it turns out, there was no sync signal on pin 3 at all! I had to make a connection between pin 14 on the U4 VDC chip and pin 3 on the Nintendo 64 multi out. I had read a bunch of tutorials/guides on adding RGB output to the Nintendo 64, but no where had I read that there was a need to add the sync signal to the multi out.

I also added an RGB amp (quick and easy mmmonkey mod method) and switch while the Nintendo 64 was open.

And to round the entire project off I wired up a custom RGB dongle!

Finally! Nintendo 64 RGB!

Thanks.

Edit: A couple of pictures for you folk...
