Title: Replace battery in a Expert HD
Post by: mookie3three on February 26, 2017, 05:22:17 PM
Hi,

Can I replace the battery in my Expert HD which is a CR2450 with a battery holder and CR2032? They are both 3v. Not sure of any other difference except the size.

Cheers

Hello,

Is it really a CR2450 or is it rather a LR2450?

You can use a CR2032 and a battery holder if you use a diode to prevent battery charging current from going into your CR2032.
As they are not designed to be recharged, nasty things could happen. But with a diode, it's OK.

LR2450 should be direct replacements, but I don't know if they are available.

Thanks. I'll just order a Cr2450 battery holder off eBay.
